Pakistan thump South Africa in 2nd T20I to seal series

LAHORE   -   Pakistan Blind Cricket Team thumped South Africa Blinds by 8 wickets in the 2nd T20 International played at Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad on Monday.


In the morning, the Pakistan Blind Cricket Team again won the toss (two in a row) and yet again decided to bowl first. South Africa Blind Cricket Team posted 109 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Bhule Bhidla was the main run-getter from the visiting side as he scored 28 runs off 33 balls while Fredrik Andreas slammed 24 runs off 27 balls. Sajid, Israr and Zafar claimed a wicket apiece.


In reply, Pakistan reached the target of 110 runs with ease in just 15.3 overs for the loss of two wickets. Zafar Iqbal was the star with the bat as he smashed superb 44 runs off 53 balls while Muhammad Rashid cracked 30 runs off 30 balls. Anathi Xelelo got the only wicket for South Africa. For his brilliant batting display, Zafar Iqbal was adjudged as player of the match.


World Blind Cricket Ltd President Syed Sultan Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Qaiser Rind and former first class cricketer Navid Nazir were the special guests on the occasion and distributed prizes amongst the players. With this victory, Pakistan Blind Cricket Team has obtained the unassailable lead of 2-0 in three-match T20I series. The third and last T20I will be played on March 8, 2022 at the same venue.
