TTP commander arrested in Khyber agency

Peshawar: A key commander of terrorist outfit was taken into custody today morning, during the search operation carried out by Anti terrorist department in Faqeerabad area.

According to media reports, the successful search operation was carried out today morning in the house of Faqeerabad area at Peshawar, on secret information of intelligence agencies. At least one suspected terrorist was taken into custody, while Anti terrorist department also recovered weapons from the house. Suicide jackets, weapons, explosives with prohibited ammunitions were also recovered from the hideout.

Security officials said that the terrorist was identified as Khalid, who was a key commander of Tehreek Taliban Pakistan and belonged to Khyber agency. The suspect terrorist was wanted to police in various terrorism activities in surrounding areas of Peshawar.

During the initial interrogation, he confessed before that he was involved in various terrorism activities. The terrorist has been shifted to undisclosed location for further investigation in the matter.
