PESHAWAR (APP) - Squash wizard Jansher Khan Sunday facilitated Asif Ali Zardari for his thumping victory in Presidential elections and hoped that with his election sports would get a boost. Jansher, the record holder former world champion, hoped that Zardari would also give due attention to bring back the country sports on sound footing. Jansher said that he gave reason of the downfall of squash to the Senate Sports Standing Committee. "I will also meet him and inform about the reason of the deteriorating condition of the squash in particular and other game in general," Jansher added. Jansher said that he has signed a $ 100,000 contract with David Lacy club of Munich, Germany and after Eid going for the promotional matches. "I will play matches against the members of the club besides playing against 12-13 years kids and will give them the tips of the squash.It will be four to five months process for the promotional matches to be starting from December this year, he said. He said talks for the promotional matches with clubs in Canada, Austria and Portugal are also in process for the lucrative contracts. Jansher hoped that under his leadership, the country would lead towards progress and prosperity and successfully meet the challenges confronting the country. "I want his role as president in the sports so that Pakistan can win back its image in the sports world as at one time we were the world champion in hockey, squash, snooker and cricket so I want that Pakistan," Jansher said.
