KARACHI (APP) - Pakistan junior international Shahzaib Khan returned with excellent match figures of 10 wickets which paved the way for Karachi's emphatic 10 wicket success over Faisalabad in three-day PCB Inter-Region Cricket Championship at PCB Academy Ground on Sunday. Leg-spinner Shahzaib destroyed Faisalabad batting in the second innings with a deadly bowling performance as he grabbed six wickets for 62 runs in 24.4 overs after having taken four wickets for 38 runs in the first innings. He ended the match with ten for exactly 100 runs. Faisalabad crashed to 185 all out in 61st over after having made 157 in their first outing. Shahzaib got a good support from left-arm pacer Abdul Ameer, who snapped-up three top wickets for 59 runs. Zaheer Hamza hit a valiant knock of 58 with 11 sizzling boundaries. Saqib Suleman hit half a dozen fours in his 37 and Hasan Mahmood returned undefeated on 35 which contained four strikes to the boundary. The match ended half an hour after lunch break on the final day as Karachi which needed just six runs collected full nine points for their first win.
