ISLAMABAD – A four-member delegation from University of Malaya, Malaysia, visited National University of Sciences and Technology (Nust) here on Friday.
The delegation was led by Prof Dato Dr Sofian Azirun, Dean of Faculty Science, University of Malaya. Among other guests were Prof Dr Noor Azina Ismail, Prof Dr Saad Mekhilef, and Dr Jagdish Kaur. Sulaiman Ahmad, Deputy Director Academics, HEC, Islamabad also accompanied the delegates.    
Upon its arrival at the main campus of the university, the delegation was warmly received by Engr Muhammad Ismail, Director Quality Assurance NUST.
Subsequently, the delegates were given a detailed briefing on the genesis and growth, development plans, academic programmes, research capabilities, and industry and international linkages of NUST.
Rector NUST Engr. Muhammad Asghar chaired the briefing session while senior faculty and officers of Nust HQ also attended the session. The esteemed guests were also conducted to various NUST schools including NBS, SEECS, SMME, SCME and IESE. Later, the delegation departed after a lunch reception hosted in their honour.
