LAHORE - PML-Q President and Senator Ch Shujaat Hussain has said that ouster of some members would not affect the party as a large number of sincere and faithful members were still there. By turning to other side some lotas (turncoats) cannot cause any dent to the party, Shujaat said expressing the hope that tomorrow more than that would come to their side. The senior politician and former premier accused the Punjab government of spending huger amount from public funds as well as engaging the police and the whole administration in forcing their members to change their loyalties which was a highly regrettable act. Meanwhile, MNA Anwar Ali Cheema and District Nazim Sargodha Inamullah Peracha have categorically denied the reports of their leaving PML-Q. In a meeting with Ch Shujaat Hussain, they said they can never think of leaving the party as they had full confidence in PML-Q leadership and they all wanted to strengthen the party through collective efforts. Inamullah Peracha said to a question that the news about his switching over to PPP had no basis. The meeting held at the residence of Anwar Ali Cheema was also attended by MNA Shaikh Waqas Akram and Nazim District Attock Maj (r) Tahir Sadiq. Replying to questions from the media persons, Shujaat said his party did not have two opinions on the point that American Drone attacks must be stopped without any delay. He said if no halt came to the attacks today, next day they would grow in number. He said to a question that assembly will complete the five years tenure but nothing can be said with surety about the government in this regard. He said to another question that principles demanded that before joining any other party, lotas should resign as assembly member, then contest election for the party of their choice. As to Anwar Ali Cheema he said, he was a senior politician who was not dependent on any party after he had seven times reached the assembly by the dint of his public and welfare services. Ch Shujaat to a question replied, he always supported discussion and talks among politicians and also that door to talk must never be closed to one another. Restoration of PUNjab govt celebrated Eminent student leader and social worker Afzaal Sultan Gujjar arranged a dinner reception at his residence to celebrate the restoration of Punjab government of Shahbaz Sharif. A large number of PML (N) workers and office-bearers attended the reception. Sweats were also distributed among the participants while they chanted welcome slogans.
