PM should fulfil political promise: Ahsan Iqbal

SIALKOT - PML-N central leader Ch Ahsan Iqbal has urged the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani to come forward and fulfil his 'political promise to provide Sui gas to Narowal city and surrounding areas. Talking to the newsmen here Thursday, Ch Ahsan Iqbal alleged that the people of Narowal were being punished politically, as the PPP government was not providing the Sui gas facility to them. He pointed out that the SNGPL had laid the gas line in Narowal city a year ago, but now the federal government was adopting the delaying tactics and creating hurdles in the early provision of gas to the people of Narowal. On this occasion, Narowal former tehsil nazim Khawaja Waseem Butt told the newsmen that the several social development and public welfare projects worth Rs6 billion were briskly underway in Narowal by the Punjab government, as the provincial government was making all out sincere efforts to develop the Narowal city under the supervision of CM Shehbaz Sharif. Meanwhile, PPP Narowal District President Anwarul Haq Chaudhry, while addressing a meeting of the party workers, has said that the laying of the Sui gas pipelines was under way by SNGPL, as this project would be completed till December 31, 2011. He said that the early provision of gas facility was the basic right of the people of Narowal and the PPP govt was making all out sincere efforts to raise the living standard of the Narowal people. PM, Bilawal enquire after Dr Firdous health: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have prayed for early recovery of Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and sent bouquets to her.
