According to sources, the victim couple approached the office bearers of Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Wing Rawalpindi and shared their ordeal while seeking legal aid. The JI office bearers immediately contacted SSP Investigation Islamabad Atta Ur Rehman, who along with ASP Amna Baig rushed to the office of JI. He said police are fully supporting the victims and the families. “The incident was very horrible. Both are married now and living happily. Police will resolve this case purely on merit,” said Atta Ur Rehman, who is leading the investigation in the high profile case. He said the whole Pakistani nation is with the couple which met a tragedy in a flat in the capital. “Police will get the culprits punished from a court of law by presenting solid evidences,” he said.
