Tarar rejects Indian claims of downing Pakistani jets

Info minister says Pakistan didn’t hit any location in IIOJK or across border so far

ISLAMABAD  -  Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Thursday said Pakistan has so far not targeted any location in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, or across international border, refuting Indian reports of shooting down its fighter jets. “Pakistan has not targeted any locations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, or across international border, so far. Neither has any loss been incurred by PAF,” the minister said in a post on X formerly Twitter.

Pakistan has only given “defensive response” so far, he said urging the international community to take note to this end. “Indian media is always spreading disinformation either to create or craft a (fake) notion of success before publicly accepting their embarrassing losses during their unprovoked aggression on night of 6/7 May 2025,” the minister stressed.

Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar rejected Indian claims about shooting down Pakistani F-16 and JF-17 Thunder fighter jet.  In a statement on social media platform X today, the Minister dismissed India’s claims as false and absurd. He said fake and concocted stories will get India nowhere, and such claims reflect India’s desperation.

Pakistan Army also destroyed the Indian Army’s battalion headquarters for carrying out unprovoked firing at the line of control on Thursday. Security sources said in response to Indian aggression against Pakistan, the armed forces are delivering a strong and decisive reply.

The Indian Battalion Headquarters at Nanga Tik at LoC suffered severe damage due to shelling by Pakistan’s armed forces, which was made in self defense. Previously as well, the enemy has suffered heavy losses due to effective action by the Pakistan Army. Earlier too, due to Pakistan’s effective countermeasures, the Indian army was forced to raise white flags at several checkpoints. Pakistan Army troops at various locations of the line of control are giving befitting response to unprovoked Indian firing.
