Indian forces launched unprovoked shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Kashmir’s Hajira and Abbaspur sectors on Thursday night, injuring civilians and damaging several homes, according to security sources.
The attack targeted residential areas, sparking widespread fear among locals. Muhammad Rafiq, a resident of the area, sustained leg injuries, while another victim, Muawiya Nawaz, tragically lost his leg due to shrapnel.
“They fired without warning—it was complete chaos,” said Nawaz.
Despite the violence, the local community remains resilient. “Our morale is high. We won’t back down,” affirmed Rafiq’s nephew.
In the Lasri Mang village of Abbaspur, multiple homes were reported damaged by the shelling.
