CHITRAL - Some unknown militants have abducted a Greek national Athansis Lerounis and killed a head constable here at Bomborait area. More than a dozen militants armed with sophisticated weapons attacked Kelash Museum on late Monday night. Upon resistance, the militants shot dead Head Constable Zafar Ahmed and also tried to hang another employee of the museum with a tree but he was rescued by the people. Athansis Lerounis was associated with a Greek non-government organisation, which constructed the museum in Kelash Valley. He has been residing in Chitral since 1995. So far no one has claimed the responsibility for abducting the Greek national.
