PML-Q ticket-holder joins PPP

LAHORE - A former PML-Q MNA, Nazir Jat has announced to join the PPP after resigning from his National Assembly seat. Nazir Jat called on Punjab Governor, Salmaan Taseer at Governors House here on Friday and formally joined the PPP, saying goodbye to his parent party, the PML-Q. The governor assured him that he would be the party candidate in the coming bye-elections from Burewala. Earlier, Nazir Jat had to resign from his MNA seat fearing an adverse verdict from the Supreme Court of Pakistan. His rival candidate had challenged his graduation degree in the court.
