Three “D’s”, defence, diplomacy and development are of immense importance for ideal counterterrorism strategy. Defence; to protect the Nation-state from external and internal threats. Diplomacy; to neutralize the terrorists and to cutoff hands that are supporting terrorism in Pakistan. Development; to restore confidence of government among the masses and to deny moral high grounds to insurgents, secessionists and terrorists as well.

The military is the only one component in our CT strategy and rest of the two are missing. Therefore, it is high time to plug the loopholes in our course of action.
