At least seven persons of the same family were killed and seven other were critically wounded in a road accident near Layyah in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to details, the accident occurred in Chobara area near Layyah where a van going to Mian Channu collided with a truck, killing seven people on the spot and injuring seven other.

Rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and shifted the dead and injured to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Chobara.
