China, Pakistan agree to boost defence coop

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and China Wednesday agreed to enhance bilateral defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi who met with Army Chief General Raheel Sharif in Rawalpindi also discussed the regional security and other issues.  
Wang Yi appreciated progress of an effective, across the board Operation Zarb-e-Azb by Pakistan Army which helped eliminate East Turkestan Movement just as it eliminated elements of all other terrorist groups based in the area.        
The Army Chief reiterated Pakistan's commitment to ensure secure environment for timely completion and subsequent management of China Pakistan Economic Corridor in the best interest of prosperous region.
