Claimants of state of Medina fail on all fronts: JI chief

Timergara - Jamaat-e-Islami chief Senator Siraj-ul-Haq on Tuesday claimed that the so-called claimants of the state of Medina had ruined the country as they had failed on all fronts.

Addressing a ‘Dastar Bandi’ function at Jamia Tafheem-ul-Quran here as chief guest, he said the poor masses were compelled on starvation while the rulers were living luxurious life unaware of the sufferings of the masses. He said JI would fully protect religious seminaries across the country and no one would be allowed to harm them.

The function was also addressed by JI district ameer Aizaz-ul-Mulk Afkari, former MNA Maulana Asadullah, former MPA Saeed Gul, former tehsil nazim Imran-ud-Din and others.

Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said that religious seminaries were the fort of Islam which had been portrayed by western powers as terrorism heavens under a planned conspiracy.

“The philosophy of socialism and communism has badly failed,” he remarked, adding that solution to all social and economic problems rested in the Islamic Sharia system. The JI leader blamed the rulers of following western agenda that was why religious seminaries were facing hurdles in the country.

He said the government allocated funds for washrooms at bus terminals and public places but there were no such funds for masajid and seminaries. He said the JI would allocate appropriate funds for religious seminaries when it came into powers.

“When the state fails to fulfil its responsibility, then masses face lawlessness, corruption, unemployment and they commit suicide,” Siraj observed. He said both the PDM parties and the PTI government had similar agendas and were unable to govern the country according to the wishes of general public.

The JI chief also distributed certificates and awards among the graduated students of the seminary.
