The meeting lasted for almost one hour in which both the leaders agreed that the reinstatement of deposed judges was inevitable for an independent judiciary. Addressing a joint Press conference, Nawaz said that the whole nation wanted impeachment and trial of Pervez Musharraf for his unconstitutional steps taken during last eight years. He said that a working relationship could not be developed with Musharraf in any case. He also held PML-Q responsible for spoiling Pakistan's political and economic fabric, as it had backed Musharraf's unconstitutional moves and wrong policies. He urged the US Presidential candidates to support a democratic system instead of any individual in Pakistan.   To a question, Nawaz said that PML-N would support lawyers long march wholeheartedly, and would also participate in it actively. He said that deposed CJP Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was the real CJP, and he would be given full protocol in Punjab. He said that the whole nation voted for a change on Feb 18, but unfortunately, it had not been witnessed so far, which had created a sense of disappointment among people of Pakistan.   To another question, he said that even a resolution was not required to bring the deposed judges back in their pre-Nov-3 position. They have been deposed following no rules or regulation, he said ,adding, that any Constitutional or legal procedure was not required to set aside an unconstitutional step. On the occasion, Imran Khan lashed out at PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari and said that the Constitutional package was nothing but a 'Constitutional drama'. He said that Constitutional package was introduced to create a hurdle in the way of judges reinstatement. He said that conspiracies were being hatched against the mandate the people of Pakistan had given on February 18. He said that the APDM had decided not to accept any Constitutional package which had no link with judges restoration. He said that efforts were underway to save those judges who betrayed the judiciary on Nov 3.
