Saviours and heroes

It has been ten years since Pakistan became the first Muslim nuclear state. All Pakistanis are proud of becoming a nuclear power through indigenous efforts. Despite all said and done about Dr A Q Khan and his scientists, I salute him with all my heart. If there were no A Q Khan, there would have been no Pakistan because the way Pakistan is being dealt with today would have been much worse if Pakistan was not a nuclear power. I believe that as a nation we must learn to pay tribute to our saviours and heroes. People who have made us what we are, deserve a special place in the society for these are the people who have dared to bring a change. -AYESHA MAZHAR, Rawalpindi, via e-mail, May 27.
