KU syndicate to set up its own school

KARACHI- A syndicate meeting of the Karachi University (KU) has decided that it would setup its own school, and rejected the proposal ofPak-TurkSchoolto establish a school on the premises of the University.

The meeting held on Saturday under the chair of KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser. The meeting also endorsed the decisions made in the last meeting held onMarch 30, 2013. Two members syndicate has taken the responsibility to finance the construction and finishing of the school. Some important decisions have also been taken in the meeting, which includes giving the posts of chairpersons in the departments of Chemistry, Special Education, Genetics, International Relations, Food Science and Urdu.

Other key decisions made at the meeting included giving the posts of chairpersons in the departments of Chemistry, Special Education, Genetics, International Relations, Food Science and Urdu. The syndicate paid special attention to proposals made for power upgradation.

It was also decided in the meeting that Karachi University will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of UAE soon, while a committee has been set up to look into the matter raised by the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry.

KU declares BEd results

Karachi University (KU) has issued the results of the BEd (Morning Program) Annual Examination 2012. According to statistics, 916 candidates were registered in the examinations out of which 900 appeared, while 459 candidates were declared to passed with 51.11 pass percentage.

Hina Tariq D/O Sheikh Tariq Saeed of Govt. College of Education (F.B. Area) got 1088 marks of 1300 securing first position; Asma Bibi D/O Muhammad Din of Jamia Millia Govt. College of Education procured second position with 1021 marks and Asfa Nazir D/O Muhammad Nazir of Rehan College of Education got third position with 1020 marks.
