RAWALPINDI - Balochistan won the National Junior and Cadet Karate Championship, which ended here at Shehbaz Sharif Sports Complex. Balochistan grabbed the top position by winning 7 golds, 3 silvers with total 165 points. More than 180 boys and girls from Wapda, Police, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK, Islamabad and Fata participated in the championship. Wapda secured second position with 3 gold, 2 silver, 5 bronze medals with 120 points and Sindh remained third with 2 sold, 3 silver, 6 bronze medals with 110 points. In cadet category, Sindh were champions with 3 gold, 1 silver, 4 bronze medals securing 75 points, while Islamabad won second and Sindh third. Senator Najma Hamid was the chief guest on the closing ceremony and gave away prizes and shields to the teams.–Staff Reporter
