Situation at Karachi Airport under control: DG ISPR

KARACHI- Director General of Inter Service Public Relations (DG ISPR) Asim Bajwa has said that situation at Karachi Airport was under control now and all was going well.
In a statement issued today Asim Bajwa said that three to four militants opened fire at Airport Security Forces (ASF) camp and took to heels after retaliation from the security personnel. DG ISPR also confirmed that things at Jinnah International Airport Karachi were functioning normally now. Airport Security Forces (ASF) camp outside Karachi airport was attacked by militants today. It’s a second attempt from terrorist in two days as heavily armed militants launched an assault on Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on late Sunday night, leaving at least 37 dead including 10 militants. It seems that Taliban had lived up to their promise as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said about Sunday’s attack that it was just the beginning and more such attacks will be conducted throughout the country.
