Students’ sufferings

LAHORE:Punjab University Examination Department has distributed wrong question paper among the students of MA Mass Communication Part II, at the Lawrence Road Examination Centre Hall-B on the first day of MA Part-II annual exam.
Students of MA Mass Comm P-II Urdu medium told APP that the PU staff provided them question paper of English Syllabus. Students complained to the Superintendent but were threatened and later hushed. Meanwhile, the students stated that their female class fellows of the same medium, attempting paper at other Halls at Lawrence Road and Wahdat Road, Lahore Centre were given a totally different question paper. Only Lawrence Road Hall-B candidates were forced to attempt a wrong question paper. A candidate at the examination centre, Adnan, stated that at least 40 students at Hall-B would be affected as they had to attempt a wrong paper. PU Additional Controller Examination, Ahmad Ali said that such matter was not reported to the conduct branch of the Examination department till now. However, he added that on receiving applications from the affected students, the university will check the matter and send it to the Board of Studies that will decide how compensate with students. –APP
