LAHORE – Pakistan’s national ladies champion Ushna Suhail clinched two titles in Multan winning the team event and the individual singles event. Talking to this scribe, Ushna’s mother Dr Sabrina Suhail said: “In the inter-unit team events, Ushna represented Mepco. She won her singles against Khunsha Babar of Lahore 6-0, 6-3 and then along with partner Meheq Khokhar, she won the deciding doubles in a crucial three-setter against Rida Khalid and Khunsha Babar from Fesco 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. This is the third consecutive time that Ushna led MEPCO to maintain its first position in inter-unit matches.” She added: “In the individual singles, Ushna outclassed Sara Mansoor, who is current Pakistan No 1. Ushna won first set 7-5, lost the second 6-4 while took the third 6-3 to win the title.”–Staff Reporter
