ANF recovers huge quantity of hashish

KARACHI - The Anti Narcotics Force on Thursday recovered huge quantity of hashish from a house in Ittehad Town area here.

  According to a statement, the ANF on a tip off, conducted a raid at a house situated at Jula Lal Chowk, Muhammad Khan Colony, Ittehad Town and recovered 1750 kg hashish. A case has been registered against an absconder. Further investigations are underway. Meanwhile, Sindh Building Control Authority Director General Noor Muhammad has said that the overall performance, minimising expenditures and financial improvements will be made in the SBCA. He said this while presiding over a meeting with senior officials at the SBCA conference hall, according to a statement issued here on Thursday.

He directed the officers concerned to make SBCA's own service rules within 30 days. He asked the computer section to scan the complete record to save it and to computerize the record of employees. Noor Muhammad said the welfare of the employees should be focused; it brings improvement in their performance. He said the officers should be sent to different organizations for improvement in their skills. He ordered all the directors to issue performance report of their concerned towns on monthly basis. The DG also directed to change the process of complaints making it easier for citizens so that immediate action could be taken against complaints.

The DG categorically said that no any influence or interference be considered regarding the illegal constructions. He said strict action would be taken against officials found negligent.

Additional Director, Agha Maqsood Abbas, Mumtaz Haider, Executive Director, Legal, Shahid Jameel, Director, Admin, Ghazanfar Abbas and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
