IGP takes notice of triple murder in Darkali Syedan, Rawalpindi

LAHORE  -  Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar on Monday took notice of a triple murder in Darkali Syedan, Rawalpindi, reportedly linked to a longstanding enmity and sought a detailed report from the regional police officer (RPO) Rawalpindi. According to a police spokesperson, the IGP issued directives to the city police officer (CPO) Rawalpindi to ensure the immediate arrest of those involved in the shooting. “All available resources must be utilised to apprehend the suspects involved in the triple murder,” said the IGP. Senior police officials are present at the crime scene, and evidence has been collected, the spokesperson added. The CPO Rawalpindi said that special teams have been formed to track down the culprits and expressed confidence that arrests would be made soon. As part of initial operations, police have taken two suspects into custody for questioning.
