FIA arrests ring leader of fake visa racket

Rawalpindi-The Anti Human Trafficking Cell of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested ring leader of a racket involved in stamping fake work visas of Panama and recovered fake documents from his possession, official sources informed on Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as Asif Raheem against whom a case was also registered.
Anti Human Trafficking Cell Deputy Director Zubair Sheikh also confirmed the arrest of the accused.
According to sources, AHTC of FIA received information that Asif Rahim is involved in involved in issuing fake visas of Panama and had received Rs 3 million from different citizens.
They said Director FIA Islamabad Zone Waqar Ahmed Chohan, while taking action, constituted a special raiding team under surveillance of Deputy Director Zubair Ahmed Sheikh.
The team raided a den in I-8 and held the fake visa agent and moved him to police station where a case has been registered against him. Sources said FIA also seized two passports and other documents from the possession of the accused.
Meanwhile, a team of AHTC FIA produced the accused before a court and obtained three-day physical remand for further investigation.
FIA Director Islamabad Zone Waqar Ahmed Chohan and DD Zubair Ahmed Sheikh said FIA has launched a crackdown against the human smugglers and had arrested many accused so far.
