Encroachments in Azizabad

Through your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the serious issues faced by the residents of Azizabad and Ishaqabad.

In our neighbourhood, roads are increasingly being taken over by street vendors, pushcarts, and motor mechanics. These illegal encroachments have narrowed the streets, causing daily traffic jams and making it nearly impossible for pedestrians to walk safely. Unfortunately, the administration remains silent despite the growing inconvenience to residents.

Furthermore, the Karimabad underpass has been in a deplorable state for months. Potholes, poor drainage, and overall disrepair have turned daily commutes into a struggle. Residents of Azizabad and Ishaqabad are forced to pass through this route, which has now become a source of frustration and danger.

I urge the authorities to take immediate action—remove the encroachments and carry out urgent repairs on the underpass—so that the residents may finally find some relief.

LAIBA,

Karachi.
