BAHAWALPUR - PPP District Information Secretary Muhammad Saleem Bhatti has said that the PPP led-government is firm to complete its mission under the vision of its Shaheed leaders ZA Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. The party will spare no effort to turn the country into a vibrant and prosperous state and change the living standard of people for better, adding that this is why President Zardari is leading a coalition government with his allies and sticks to the policy of reconciliation. PPP District Information Secretary Saleem Bhatti was addressing a meeting of party's information secretaries at the office of PPP Tehsil Information Secretary Advocate Asif Bhara. He claimed that PML-N Chief Nawaz sharif had no worth in the masses and was starving alone politically. "Nawaz is worried about the forthcoming election of Senate. His baseless and false criticism has loosened his position. Fictitious lion has been proven a dream of a child. Saleem Bhatti said the government was trying to overcome the power crises in the country, adding that the foundation stone laying ceremony of Diamer Bhasha Dam would be performed on October 18. He said that it was a mega project and the government brought it to the Council of Common Interest (CCI) to take approval of all stakeholders so that it could not be politicized like Kalabagh Dam. He congratulated President Zardari, PM Gilani and all the four chief ministers on approving the project unanimously. He said that the Diamer Bhasha dam was a dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and the PPP-led government was committed to materializing it. He also stressed that the provincial governments should build up new dams in their respective provinces as after the passage 18th Amendment provinces could build new dams at their own. Saleem Bhatti expressed the resolve that all the mega projects including Diamer Bhasha Dam, Thar coal, Lowari Tunnel, Neelum-Jehlum, Mangla uprising and others would be completed by the government.
