Another case registered against MQM-H chief Afaq Ahmed

A new case was registered against Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) chief Afaq Ahmed at the Landhi police station in Karachi on Monday. The case has been registered by Khalid Hussain, a Water Board employee, who alleges that Afaq Ahmed had ordered his abduction and torture. Three others have also been nominated in the case. The application states that the accused persons had kidnapped Hussain on the orders of the MQM-H chief and tortured him. Afaq Ahmed was earlier arrested in a kidnapping case that was registered 10 years ago in 2001. The move came just one day after the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had announced its decision to rejoin the Pakistan People's Party-led government at the provincial and federal level.
