Soldier, six militants killed in NWA op

MIRANSHAH (INP) - At least six militants were killed in the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan Agency on Tuesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a soldier of the Pakistan Army also embraced martyrdom in fight against militants in Dattakhel during clearance operation.
A civilian logistics staff member was also killed in the soldiers' shootout with terrorists when he was providing logistics supplies to the fighting soldiers. The ISPR said clearance operation will continue in the village and end soon once all militants are flushed out.
More than 800 militants have been killed in the operation that began on June 15.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has approved Rs1.569 billion for the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb. The sanctioned amount will be spent on internally displaced persons of the NWA and their rehabilitation.
