FAISALABAD - The welfare institutions engaged in education and rehabilitation of special children are rendering valuable services and the district administration will extend all-out support to all such organisation to bring special children into main stream of development.

DCO Salman Ghani stated at a ceremony held here at main campus of Tanzeem Al-Lisan to distribute scholarships under Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) to 30 special students of Danish College for Special Education.

DO (Social Welfare) Ch Ashraf, DDO Rana Nisar, General Secretary Tanzeem Al-Lisan Iftikhar Ahmad, Principal Kasoom Iftikhar, Vice Principal Saba Saud, teachers and staff members were present on the occasion.

The DCO congratulated the special children for obtaining distinguished positions in the examinations under the Punjab Board of Technical Education and said that the Punjab govt is encouraging talented students by awarding them PEEF scholarships. He said that the special children possessed best qualities but their capabilities are required to be polished in effect manners. He lauded the services of special education teachers and said that they are performing very difficult job for looking after the special children and imparting them with education and training.

General Secretary Iftikhar Ahmad informed that the students of Danish College for Special Education have bagged top positions for the sixth consecutively times in the Punjab Board of Technical Education which is pride of this welfare institution.

Later, Mr Ghani took a round of different classes of special education students and reviewed the teaching method for them.
