Girls, minors among six die in incidents

JHANG-At least six persons including two minors were killed in separate incidents occurred in different areas here the other day.
According to police, two girls drowned while taking bath in River Jhelum. The police said that 15-year-old Samreen, daughter of Muhammad Nawaz and 16-year-old Rukhsana, daughter of Umer Draz and a resident of Mauza Aura were working in fields near the bank of River Jhelum. Got tired of their work, both went to the river to enjoy a bath but drowned. Their bodies could not be recovered till filing of the report.
In another incident, a man and his son was crushed to death by a speeding truck on Jhang-Sargodha Road. According to police, Abdul Jabbar, his wife Shazia and two-year-old son Zegham Jabbar were on the way back home on a motorbike. As they reached near Adda Habib, a speeding truck coming from opposite direction hit the bike. As a result, Abdul Jabbar and Zegham were crushed on the spot while Shazia sustained critical wounds and was shifted to DHQ Hospital.
Meanwhile, a minor boy was electrocuted in Mohallah Islam Nagar. The police said that two-year-old Muhammad Rehman, son of Haq Nawaz and a resident of Mohallah Islam Nagar was playing in his home when accidentally he touched the naked electric wires of a pedestal fan. Resultantly, he got severe electric shock and died.
Similarly, a 30-year-old man was electrocuted in Mauza Mukhiana. According to police, Muhammad Hanif, son of Irshad Hussain and a resident of Mauza Mukhiana, was installing electric wires in his home when accidentally he touched a naked electric wire. As a result, he sustained critical burns and died on the spot.
