ISLAMABAD-Pakistan No 1 junior player Muzammil Murtaza has made a history, as he reached final of the ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 Grade-5 tournament after thrashing third seed Indonesian M Althaf Dhaifullah in straight sets in the semifinals in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

According to information made available here on Friday, Muzammil was in awesome form as he registered second major upset in the event by eliminating third seed Althaf Dhaifullah. It was highly close battle in the first set as Muzammil was stretched down right from the start and took the first set 6-4. In the second set, Muzammil completely outclassed Dhaifullah, playing fast, fluent and aggressive tennis and won the set 6-1.

In the doubles semifinals, Muzammil partnering with Rin Muller of Netherlands lost against top seeds Christian Didier Chin of Malaysia and Seita Watanabe of Japan in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
