Everyday, while going to my office, I have to travel on the Mall Road from Fortress Stadium to GPO. For the past year or two I have noticed rather silly decorations along the road. Walls are filled with steel baskets to hold flowerpots. These large flowerpots, made out of clay and fiber glass, are being placed without any sense of aesthetic. Asinine rockeries have destroyed the sidewalks. Ugly bus stop shelters have been raised. It seems that the government is hellbent on dishing out money to some favourite individuals, while compromising the aesthetics of the city.
