MQM candidate for NA-221, PS-47 Hyderabad shot dead

Unknown miscreants gunned down Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate for National Assembly (NA) and Sindh assembly elections, Fakhrul Islam here in Hyderabad on Thursday.
According to details, unidentified miscreants opened fire at MQM candidate for NA-221 and PS-47, Fakhrul Islam as soon as he came out of his residence located in Halanaka area of Hyderabad killing him on the spot and sped away.
Heavy contingent of police cordoned off the area after the shooting incident and launched search operation.
Meanwhile, MQM chief Altaf Hussain, leaders of different political parties condemned the shooting incident and expressed grief over the brutal murder of Fakrul Islam. They termed the shooting incident as conspiracy to sabotage the process of holding fair, transparent and peaceful general elections.
Altaf Hussain demanded of Sindh Governor and caretaker Chief Minister to immediately arrest the killers. He also demanded that all the MQM candidates be provided adequate security.
