ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif Sunday thanked all those who ‘did not allow any pressure to dent their loyalty and commitment to the party and Pakistan. In a series of tweets Shehbaz said, “I also cannot forget Salman Rafique, Kamran Michael, Miftah Ismael & Qamarul Islam whose steadfastness & sacrifices in the face of the brutal Niazi-NAB nexus have been legendary. They did not allow any pressure to dent their loyalty and commitment to the party and Pakistan.”
He further said, “Special thanks to media, civil society, lawyers, my Quaid Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto, Khalid Maqbool, Khalid Magsi, Mosin Dawar, Ali Wazir, Amir Haider Hoti & leaders & workers of all political parties for standing up for the Constitution!
Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif during an informal talk with reporters said that Pakistan wanted peace with India, but peace was not possible without the resolution of the Kashmir issue. Shehbaz Sharif said that national harmony was his first priority, adding that the new cabinet would be formed in consultation with the other leaders. “Efforts will be made to improve the national economy and provide relief to the people,” he pledged and also vowed to start a new era in the country. “We will promote mutual respect,” he added.
“When will Nawaz Sharif return? What will happen to his cases?” a question was put to him by a journalist.
“Nawaz Sharif’s cases will be followed as per the law,” he answered.
