WARBURTON - Executive District Officer (Education) Tariq Rafiq finalised arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations to be held on August 14, 2011 at Sports Club Nankana Sahib. On the occasion, several entertaining activities will be held including drum- speech competition and beating. The EDO was briefed about the arrangements in a meeting. Moreover, the speakers will express their ideas on 'Nojawan Nassal aur Istehqam-e-Pakistan ka Challenge. Distinction: Zahid Mehmood, a student of Govt High School, Warburton, got first position across Warburton by obtaining 945 marks in the SSC-Annual Exam 2011. He belongs to a very poor family. His father is an illiterate milk seller living in a hut of mud. However, the school showed 78.41 percent result with 6th position in district. EDO Education and DEO Secondary of Nankana Sahib appreciated and congratulated the headmaster and the whole staff for this achievement.
