Cleanliness plan devised

MULTAN: The Solid Waste Management Company has evolved a comprehensive plan to keep the city clean during Eidul Fitr as the holidays of sanitation staff have been cancelled. The Managing Director of the company Ahmad Shahryar told media that the city had been divided into six zones and additional sanitation staff equipped with machinery had been deployed in each zone. He said that the sanitation staff would be given special allowances and perks for offering eid duty. He said that the sanitation staff had also been directed to make special efforts for keeping the masjids, shrines and parks clean.
Similarly, a special contingent of sanitary workers will launch a special operation to keep the metro route clean on Eid.–Staff Reporter


The sanitary workers have been given mechanical sweepers, tractor trollies and 10 rickshaws to carry trash. The solid waste management company has divided the city into six zones while the metro route passes through five zones and the staff deployed in these zones will do the sanitation duty.
