Kidnapping of children, women won’t be tolerated, says CCPO

LAHORE    -   Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) DIG Bilal Siddique Kamyana has said that kidnapping of children and women would not be tolerated at any cost and strict action would be taken against the criminals involved. He lauded the performance of all the members of the special team for speedy action and nabbing the involved accused within record time. An award distribution ceremony was held at Capital City Police Headquarters on Friday where the members of special team were distributed appreciation letters, commendation certificates and cash awards for their excellent performance. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana distributed appreciation letters, certificates and cash awards among the officers and officials. He also handed over appreciation letter to SSP Investigation Imran Kishwar, SP CIA Asim Iftikhar, SP Operations Sadar Division Hassan Javed Bhatti, SDPO Raiwind Circle ASP Bilal Sulehri and DSP CIA Cantt Tariq Ilyas Kayani.


Commander Lahore Police also distributed commendation certificates and cash awards among the In-Charge CIA Iqbal Town Inspector Muhammad Ali, Inspector Waqasul Hassan Bokhari, in-charge CIA Civil Lines Inspector Nabi Baksh, in-charge CRO Branch Inspector Husnain Farooq, Sub Inspectors CIA Zaheer uddin Babar, Muhammad Qasim, SHO PS Manga Mandi Amir Anjum, Rana Muhammad Akram, Sheroz Latif, ASIs CIA Muhammad Ali, Naveed Ahmad, Jawad Farooq, Head constable Faqeer Hussain, constable Muhammad Ajmal and Driver Constable Muhammad Akbar. Kamyana said that the incident of kidnapping for ransom of the five-years-old child Areez from a private housing society was a challenging test case for Lahore Police and the Lahore police remained successful to not only safely recovering the child but also arresting the culprits.


He congratulated the officers and officials who received awards and commendation certificates and directed them to work. Manpower and human resource have been provided to the CIA and it would be further strengthened with capacity building and logistic resources to meet the expectations of citizens and department as well as achieve the targets of control on heinous crimes and arrest of hardened criminals, he added.


He lauded the gradual result oriented improvement and exemplary performance of all the CIA Lahore officers and officials for speedy action in arresting the hardened criminals involved in heinous crimes including murder, attempt of murder, kidnapping, dacoity and rape within record time. The CIA Lahore has effectively used the latest technology and intelligence based skill to solve the challenging cases and successfully worked them out in a professional manner, he added.
