FAISALABAD - A married couple committed suicide by lying under a train on Jhumra road here on Tuesday.
According to Rescue-1122 sources, a newly-wed couple Sajid (23) r/o Adeel Town 202-RB along with his wife Ruaia Begum (21) lay under a moving train bound from Faisalabad to Lahore near Gatti railway crossing on Jhumra road.
The cause behind their act of suicide was yet to be ascertained. According to police,Sajid was a power loom worker and he got married some two and half months ago. Police shifted the bodies to a mortuary and collected evidence from the site.
19 INJURED AS BUS OVERTURNS
A speeding bus overturned near Sadhar bypass, on Jhang road which left 19 passengers, including women and children, injured on Tuesday.
According to Rescue-1122 sources, a bus heading towards Gojra from Faisalabad overturned near Attock petroleum station, Sadhar bypass chowk, Jhang road due to speeding.
Consequently, 19 passengers including women and children were injured. Three of them were provided first aid and discharged on the spot while 16 others were rushed to Allied hospitals-I and II.
The injured were Mafia, Aysha, Asima, M Fahad,Farwa , Subhan, Rubina, Shahzad Habib, Umar Ikram, Kamran, Wasif, Nisha, Tayyba, Shahida Bibi, Sadia and Rimsha.
GIRL DROWNS IN CANAL
A girl drowned in canal near Sammundri road on Tuesday. According to a spokesperson,Meerab(7) r/o Nawab Town was washing her feet in the canal when she slipped and fell into the water and drowned.The rescue team fished out the body near Roshan Wali Jhal. The body was handed over to the heirs after necessary formalities.
