CTP arrests accused for swindling people

Rawalpindi - A man was held by a team of City Traffic Police (CTP) on charges of swindling people in the name of issuing driving licences.
Talking to journalists yesterday, Chief Traffic Officer Shoaib Khurram Janbaz said that an accused namely Nail Muhammad was minting money from people on the pretext to issue them driving licences. He said that City Traffic police team raided a shop in Jhanda Cheechia, held the accused and recovered 65 files of licences and a registers being used to maintain record of the applicants.
He said the accused was minting hefty amount from applicants, telling them that he has strong contacts in CTP HQ who would issue urgent driving licences.
He disclosed that the raiding team members visited the shop of Naik in disguise of customers and arrested him. An application was moved to Police Station Civil Line for registration of case against the accused, he added.
