CHITRAL   -   Recent heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding in canals and rivers, damaging civil infrastructure near the city. The Garam Chashma road, especially the Singoor village turning point, is critical and suffered damage to its protective safety wall due to flooding. Blocked drainage worsened the flooding.

The National Highway Authority is responding to ensure mobility. Repairing roads and communication networks impacted by floods is a priority.
