HAFIZABAD: Lady health workers (LHWs) here held a demonstration on the old civil hospital premises to protest against nonpayment of their salaries.
The protestors gathered on the old civil hospital premises and raised slogans against nonpayment of their salaries for the last six months. They raised slogans against the authorities for not arranging payment. They demanded immediate payment of their salaries to save their families from starvation.
ARRESTS: Sub-Engineer of TMA Fiaz Ahmad Chatha and Secretary Union Council Kassesay Muhammad Ashraf were rounded up by the city police from outside the office of Assistant Director Local Government Hafizabad District and the charge of allegedly making hullabaloo under the influence of wine.
According to police source, the accused had taken liquor in the office of Assistant Director and were making hullabaloo. After getting them medically examined, the police have registered a case against them.
ATTACK: Computer operator of Rescue-1122 Sohaib Akram was seriously injured when he was allegedly attacked by Imtiaz Ahmad of Mohallah Naseerpura. The injured was going towards his office on a bike when a buffalo of Imtiaz hit his bike. They indulged in altercation on this issue whereby Imtiaz allegedly thrashed him seriously and also torn off his official uniform.–Staff Reporter


The injured was rushed to the hospital by Rescue-1122. The police have registered a case against Imtiaz and also arrested him promptly.
