Multan - Veteran politician Javed Hashmi Friday announced to rejoin PML-N in the presence of former premier Nawaz Sharif amid sky-shattering slogans of “Baghi, Baghi, Baghi” chanted by charged PML-N activists during a big public gathering at Qasim Bagh Stadium.
The PML-N Quaid held Javed Hashmi’s hand, asking the workers twice to clap for him. The workers burst into jubilations and danced on the party songs to celebrate Hashmi’s return.
Javed Hashmi quit PML-N and joined PTI in December 2011 after developing differences with the party leadership. Imran Khan appointed him as the PTI president. However, he left Imran Khan when PTI’s 2014 sit-in was in full swing in Islamabad. He announced to resign from PTI on October 1, 2014.
Speaking on this occasion, Hashmi said PML-N was his own party and his home. “I had told my children in my will that after my death, I must be wrapped in the shroud of Muslim League flag,” he told the audience on this occasion.
