ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has cancelled the examination papers taken for the recruitments in National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) and has sought explanation from the national coordinator of the authority for poorly conducting the exams.
The minister has said that fresh schedule and procedure of the recruitments in NACTA would be issued shortly and a transparent procedure would be adopted in this connection. He has sought explanation from national coordinator NACTA Haider Ali for poorly conducting the examinations where a number of candidates used cheating methods to qualify the test.
The national press had reported that during the recent assessment examinations held for recruitments in the authority, candidates used cellular phone and other modern electronic devices to solve the papers, besides they copied answer sheet of one another. As many as 5,000 candidates had appeared in the assessment examination for 130 vacant positions in the authority and out of these, 34 were for officers.
