ARY Films, IRK Films, MUNIR HUSSAIN FILMS held exclusive movie premieres for Janaan in Lahore and Karachi on 9th and 10th September that were atteneded by different Lollywood personalities.
Besides Pakistan, Janaan is also slated for release in 17 countries, including Dubai, UK, US, Canada and Australia, this September and will be distributed worldwide by B4U Films.
“We are extremely excited that our first venture, Janaan, is releasing in 17 countries simultaneously." stated Imran Raza Kazmi, one of the producers of Janaan.
“It’s a proud moment for Pakistan to have it’s films screened globally, giving the international audience a chance to recognise Pakistani talent and culture.”
Jerjees Seja, who heads ARY Digital Network, says Janaan will fulfill ARY’s promise of “good entertainment” to the viewers.
“Sincerely, I am thankful for the immense love and support towards Janaan we have been receiving since the film was announced,” said Seja.
Janaan revolves around Meena (Armeena Rana Khan) who returns from Canada to attend her cousin’s wedding in her native homeland Swat. While trying to adapt to her ethnic roots, she often finds herself in hilarious situations.
The movie is beautifully shot in Swat showing the mesmerising scenic beauty of mountains and lakes of the area. The family home, that is central to the movie, has a typical Swati culture which comprises wooden carvings, traditional embroidered interior, antique doorways and balconies with breathtaking views. Add to this a colorful traditional wedding, sky lanterns, fireworks in the night sky and every shot would make anyone fall into love with the stunning shots.
The movie will be released in Pakistan on the occasion of Eidul Azha on September 13, 2016.
