Jamia Hafsa students tear apart Mush posters

ISLAMABAD – In an unprecedented move on Friday, about a dozen angry students of Jamia Hafsa protested against Election Commission’s bid to allow former president Musharraf to contest polls and tore apart his posters from the facade of buildings situated in Aabpara Chowk.
The students of ‘Jamia Hafsa’, a seminary associated with Lal Masjid that came under attack by security forces in 2007 during Pervez Musharraf regime, stormed the Aabpara market Friday evening and tore off a number of posters of Musharraf and candidates of his party the APML.
The seminary students also shout slogans against Musharraf and set his posters on fire.
They, however, fled from the scene when police patrols rushed to the site to control the situation.
