PPP takes out rally against Musharraf

KARACHI - Pakistan Peoples Party Karachi (East) chapter on Tuesday took out a huge anti-Musharraf rally, which started from Natha Khan Goth and concluded at the Bilawal House. Huge number of PPP workers participated in the rally on cars and motorcycles. They were holding party flags and banners inscribed with slogan against President Pervez Musharraf. President PPP Karachi East chapter, Zulifqar Qaimkhani, led the rally and party's Karachi Division President Syed Faisal Raza Abidi, PPP Sindh secretary general, Nafess Siddiqui and Bilawal House spokesman Ejaz Durrani welcomed the participants when they reached the Bilawal House. Speaking on the occasion, Nafees Siddiqui lashed out at President Pervez Musharraf and held responsible for the current economic and political crises in the country. He said that people had given clear mandate to the political parties against the military dictator. He accused Musharraf of bulldozing all national institutions, arresting the Chief Justice and sacking other apex court judges. Siddiqui added that due to Musharraf's polices, two provinces were facing grave security problems posing threats to the federation. PPP Karachi Division President Syed Faisal Raza Abidi also condemned President Musharraf saying that dictator's days were numbered and the entire nation had welcomed the decision of the government to impeach him. He added that PPP workers and leaders were united under the leadership of PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. PPP Parliamentary Party meets The Parliamentary Part of PPP in Sindh Assembly, met here Tuesday under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Leader Pir Mazharul Huq in the Sindh Assembly Chamber of Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. The meeting held a detail discussion in relation to Sindh Assembly session which commenced today and strategy chalked out. Besides Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, the meeting was attended by 85 members and two members from ANP.
