JUI-F to oppose RGST

LAHORE Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri has said his party has decided to oppose RGST in the parliament as it is against the interests of the masses. Addressing the participants of 'Tahafuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat Convention here on Sunday, he said his party was playing the role of opposition despite collation partner of the PPP led government. He said the bill had approved in senate due to boycott of PML-Q but would not be approved in the parliament if all parties would oppose it. JUI-F secretary general while terming on the statement of governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer regarding blasphemy laws said the governor was also blasphemer as he called it a black law. He said Salmaan Taseer had no right to work on the seat after support of a profaner, Aasia Bibi. He questioned that how it was a discriminatory law while 480 Muslims had been trailed under this law since its formation but only 119 Christians, 340 Qadainis and 14 Hindus were punished. He said Aasia, the accused had proved blasphemer after a long trial and if Christian community had any reservation regarding the decision of the court, they could go to High Court and Supreme Court. Haidri said they would launch a countrywide movement if the law would be repealed. He said in this regard they would call all parties conference on December 15 in Lahore.
