KARACHI - Pakistan Rangers Sindh and police in joint intelligence based operations conducted in North Nazimabad, Pirabad, Katti Pahari and Rasheedabad areas, arrested seven drug peddlers gang including an auto-rickshaw driver and recovered 27kg of hashish.
According to a news release on Sunday, the paramilitary force arrested Abdul Qayyum, Manzoor Ahmed, Khanzada alias Pehalwan, Jannat Gul alias Jannati, Abdullah, Ali Dost and auto-rickshaw driver Arshad. During the preliminary investigation, the arrested accused confessed that their ringleader Haji alias Khalid alias Sher Dil was running a drug business from Peshawar and they used to transfer him the money through various bank accounts, hawala and hundi. They used to supply drugs in different areas of Karachi including Landhi, Quaidabad, Shah Faisal, Nazimabad, Katti Pahari and Ittehad Town while raids were being carried out to apprehend other accomplices of the accused. All arrested accused have been handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
